I guess some of ya'll have read that it looks like Warren is a member of The Dead now. On Dead.net they announce the four GD alumni plus Jimmy, Warren & Jeff playing February 9 in San Fran. They also state that there will be a two leg summer tour (but don't specifically mention the lineup for those legs, although it seems like it would be the same one). Anyway, I guess I'm happy for Warren but wonder how it will affect the Allmans. I guess he felt like the ABB & Mule, along with periodic Phil & Friends and solo acoustic shows just wasn't enough (how does he do it?)....... I thought 03 was so cool for the Brothers that I'd like to see them repeat such a good year and maybe write some more new tunes. Maybe we'll be seeing an Allman - Dead summer tour. I'd have mixed feelings cause I don't want to see the ABB open for anyone (except maybe at a large fest). Thoughts?
