Best ABB CD ? Whilst I don't disagree with Jack's selections, if you're only looking for a couple to start off with then I fully endorse GS's recommendations of "Hittin' the Note" for the present line-up and "the Fillmore Concerts" for the original band. I would like to propose one more, however, which is "Brothers & Sisters". Sadly without Duane and (for the most part) Berry, it is nevertheless a fine album and the first one to bring the ABB to the attention of us over here in the UK. It was this album that turned me on to ABB and afterwards I retrospectively bought all of the previous albums, some of which I had to get imported from the USA. Critics may argue that it is a tad "commercial" and that it moved away from the traditional blues roots that Duane & Gregg fought long and hard with the music establishment to accept, but it remains one of my personal favourites none the less. Colin.
