You hit it on the head Neil. If you want 3 hours of top flight entertainment in NYC you better bring money. However in general I think a lot of people are being priced out of big time concerts but I wouldn't blame that on the bros. I've said before that I think an obvious answer to the problem is to have more price levels to accomodate different incomes. Making someone pay the same for Row Y Orch or Row J of the loge as someone in the front row doesn't make a lot of sense. Want front row? $200 per seat. Rows 2-5, $150 per seat. Rows 5-15, $100. Back of the Orch and loge, $65. Lower Balc, $45. Upper Balc, $30. Charge a little more for the center sections than the sides. Let the folks with cash who want front row pay for it to subsidize the kids in the upper balcony. Why not charge a premum for a premium seat? They'll buy it from a scalper anyway.
