i respect all of the comments made and some of the arguments are somewhat persuasive. However i choose not to look at the price of the tix in context to other concerts which i have no desire to attend, i.e. Mrs. Spears. And while i agree that the beacon is a special place to see a concert, espcially an ABB concert, i have been there before and no longer want to pay simply for the "experience." The band members are the same in DC and Chgicago. Moreover, if I can infact see the ABB for considerably less within 90 miles or so NYC doesn't that just prove that only reason the tix are that high is because there are people willing to pay extrodinary prices, not because of any expense accorded to the band. It translates simply into price gouging (or however that is spelled). Lastly, I begrudge no one who is willing to pay the price, it's just that living in NYC I can see any number of great concerts for 20-30 and after doing the cost-benefit analysis would rather not go. (With all that being said, I'm sure I'll be on the lawn of PNC this summer, but I wont be happy about it)
