Hi ya'll...hey Leah..sent you a Christmas card (twice) but kept coming back..so to Leah Marie, and all the beautiful Peacheads, hope ya'll had a great holiday season, and have a wonderful NY..forgive me for sticking in my $.02...but keep this in mind...One of the greatest day...actually days...in my life..which has been a very good , wonderful life, no doubt...was when my sweet , hardworking Kevin said to me, "pack the car..you , Heddy and I are going to the Beacon"....back in 2000...Heather was feeling unusually well for that time of year, and with me behind the wheel, we made Jersey (from WAY down south FLA) by late evening...Kevin took over and the next thing I knew, we are pulling up to the Beacon....by now it was late..a Brother walked up to us and asked did we need tix? How much? $300 for 3...Beacon Hotel had a no-show luxury suite available...discounted $100..the manager let us have it for $300 bucks..one night only..We were so there.....registered, parked, another $40....and a few minutes later...one good push, and those grand wooden doors flew open..the music enveloped us like a blanket...Heather screamed the loudest, most joyful note I had ever heard...Dickey and Gregg smiled at eachother and shook their heads, breaking into Jessica....to open the second half of the show...and I can honestly say this..Fate may be a terrible thing..but my memories are worth more than any $ could buy...so,not counting calling in sick, travel expense and fine-NYC dining...plus, keep in mind, we drove 1200 some odd miles to see that 1/2 an ABB show...$640 for memories I will carry in my heart forever.... for the $.02 thats worth....Love to you all ..HAVE FUN!...did I hear the Brothers are looking for songs..? Id love to hear Gregg sing that old blues tune...dont know the exact title, or even who wrote it..but it goes something like this...."Im going to New York, even if I have to walk....running, hiding.." Ya'll know the one...great piece for slide guitar....Wish I was going...Ca
