Someone wrote that this was a typical ABB review. In fact, I'd say it is just the opposite. Go look at all the reviews from last summer - while some missed Dickey, they almost universally praised how great the band sounded. As for this guy's opinion about the show, the music & the musicians - he's entitled to it. I do agree that the reviewed the band that wasn't there, not the one that was, but the Dickey comparisons aren't going away any time soon (wait until the new album comes out). I do think the repeated comments about the crowd were a cheap shot and not representative of who really was at the Beacon. I was pleasantly surprised how many college age folks I saw, even with the $55-80 price tag. To call him a jerk, or A#%*ole will only reinforce their opinion and will drop us down to his level. As for Billboard, they did a wonderful tribute to the ABB for the 30th Anniversary Tour. You might want to thank them for that if you write them.
