Regarding 12/1/70 Dominos show, it's not a remaster, but from a different source at the same show... if that IS indeed the one we are talking about.
There were two known tapers that night. One apparently was closer to the stage, but the recording is muddier (due to his equipment?). Before this one was remastered, it was just a murky recording where you couldn't tell what was going on. Seems that somebody probably tracked each intrument to give it much separation as possible.
The other, seems as though it was recorded further away, but the recording is less hissier. This one also has the added bonus of band introductions (Duane Allman & Ernest Clapton), intro to songs, & the ever so fun adventures of the taper that night. Spoke about this with Gary (peachnutt) & Marley, but this recording is probably "better", for what it's worth. You feel like you're somewhat there. The only heartbreaking thing about it is, Key to the Highway is cut at the end. Sigh.
It's recommended though. Even for the people that nitpick on sound quality.
