hey buddy Charles, lively post as usual and I mostly agree, but for a 'genre based' motif (for show opener) my vote would be for a Jazz outfit. Karl Denson's act was toward that end. Now, marketability, etc ... Well I hope not to offend here, but while I'd love to dig straight freakin hep jazz before the Brothers, I think it might leave some of the crowd Wonderin'. Or, to put it another way, the WP guys' names alone are gonna draw/fill some seats (regardless of the quality of the band). :eatpopcorn:
I say to the Brothers -- Enlighten us some more and bring out the Jazz!
In fact, why not go with the Yonrico Scott Band !! 😀
