Brofan, you're exactly right. UMG (Universal) owns the catalog. They can do whatever they want with it and we have no say, they do not even bother telling us about what they are doing. We usually find out that a new CD is out when we see it in the stores. The only repackaging project that we were involved with was the Dreams package. I guess they figured that it was a little too complex for them to just grab a few of the "greatest hits", put a cute name and package on it and release. This is one of our biggest embarressments and one of the things we would love to be able to stop. Unfortunately we have yet to find a way to do it. We were young and naive and trusted the wrong person and gave it all away forever. Now we suffer the concequences. I think your advice is sage.
