Saw Gov't Mule with Chris Ronbinson and GREGG last night in Atlanta. Highlights were Chris & his guitarist coming out to play Southern Man and Hard to Handle with the Mule. Other huge highlight was Gregg coming out to do Just Before the Bullets Fly, Stormy Monday, Soulshine (duet w/Warren) and Dreams (duet with Chris Robinson). A long tripping take on Zep's No Quarter was nice too. The rest was old-school heavy, prodding Gov't Mule. You could literally feel the low end in your chest from Matt Abt's drum kick's and Andy Hess's bass lines. The old Mule fans must really be diggin that. The Tabernacle was packed and Gregg sounded wonderful on organ and singing. He sat right along side Danny Louis while Danny handled some electric piano rhodes sounding keys......Magical moments!
