Hi Everyone, The Allman Brothers Band and the Corp of Peachheads, and the many dear friends I have met here and there -- Are really a beautiful healing device as well as a rushing geyser of Joyful Noise. After attending a funeral today, the Eat A Peach record seemed to slide out from the shelf and into my hands. We all know the progression of songs by now. What a beautiful tribute, EAP. I felt, while listening to it and reflecting on the passage of time, the presence of my Bros and Sisters that have gone on to the next phase. In a day or two, when the ABB DVD arrives, we are going to have a celebration -- In memory of our friends -- I am starting the "Listening Party" with Soul Serenade (thinkin', wine/cheese/grapes), followed with the Charlotte and Raleigh '03 ABB shows (he he, I have buds that will literally ruin their pants over Afro Blue, Branford on Dreams>WP, among other things -- don't ya love it when minds blow in your presence?) Brother Jim Brown, from the listserve and GB and a big, big and very generous/passionate fan, and friend of ours, will be especially missed. Thinkin' of you, Bro. Well, ya get the picture ... I have *never* in my relatively short stand as a dTB/Peach/Mule/etc. Head been SO PROUD of The Allman Brothers and all the ancillary cats -- of what they have given us this year ............. That long list of freakin' quality, good-lovin', ass-kickin' sights and sounds. Archive release #2 - wonderful Soul Serenade - Holy Moly Summer Tour - F*ck Instant Live Discs - Smokin', sublime Hittin' the Note - outa words here. It is so out of sight; then we get the pleasure of interpretations of the material every night (Sweet covers this year too, just gorgeous) Man, it goes on and on (forever). I've left out a handful of great things that happened this year (so far). I feel quite blessed to have stumbled upon this grand entity. Thanks for the music; Play all night!
