ok. one more post and i'm done.... this is a public service announcement - since i'm in charge of talleying the votes for the Peachies....i can't help but notice that several of Peach Corp members appear to have viruses running on their system. for each voting email i get i get about 5 virus emails (they do get stopped though my virus scan and for me it's not really a big deal). Although the actual message is not from the infected person most of the messages are listed as being from familiar people. THis has been mentioned here before, but i feel that it is worth reiterating. This past month has been the worse month for computer viruses...ever. There is a virus cirulating via email that appears to be a legitimate email from Microsoft. it is not. Microsoft will NEVER, EVER send you and email claiming to have "the latest patch". there is a thread dedicated to this somewhere in the forum if you want more details. so, #1...be wary of opening any email attachments. #2 Try and keep your virus scan software up to date and #3 if you dont' have any virus software, there are many freeware/trialware virus scan available. just search google for "Free Virus Scan" and you'll be in hog heaven. remember, safe computing can be compared to safe sex: it only takes one infected person to spread a virus. :freaked: 🙂 peach, love and happy computing to all.....
