Aw Man, I hope that comment about dressing in flashy costumes wasn't a shot at Hendrix. After all, he was only the most innovative and influential guitarist who ever lived, and who ever will live, regardless of WHAT he wore. I also seem to remember Clapton and Page dressing in some pretty frilly outfits back in the day. I agree that the outfit doesn't make the guitarist, but it doesn't necessarily detract from his ability, either. Ever see any photos of Duane and Gregg in the Hourglass? There's a good one in the issue of HTN with Derek and Susan on the cover. Pretty humorous.
