We got in from the multiday Southern Tour yesterday in time to mow the grass, check email and kick back. Natchez, MS (the best kept secret in the south), Gulf Shores, Destin and Vicksburg. And the best time of the whole trip? The few hours spent with The Prince of Peterman, The Baron of Burntcorn, AL, ....... our own Billy Eddins.
I think we kinda whirlwind/shellshocked him, though. He was lookin' kinda 'lost' as he went away, but he left me a sackful of goodies.
Then, I read the post by Joe Bell, then the article on TM. How totally opposite can these two be? One to spread, the other to screw. EVERYbody deserves to make a living, even a very, very good one. I'm a businessman. I'm self-employeed. I'm very good at what I do, so people CHOOSE to pay me a premium for my services. They can always retain someone else.
But, how else are we gonna buy a ticket? I always ask TM "Is there an INconvient way for me to buy this ticket?" when they tell me the 'convience charge'. No.
We gotta be proud of our 'family'. From the band members to the HTN/HTW staff members to us ......... we seem to understand the principle of integrity a little better than most folks involved in the entertainment business. Maybe not fully, but a lot whole better.
Now, its suppertime.
