As promised, here are answers to your questions about the Instant Live CDs:
Q: Are they sound boards?
A: Hybrid, not true sound boards. The ABB will use 8 submasters from their personal multitrack recording process and mix them with live audience microphones making a superior audience/soundboard tape that is being mixed real time in a truck for the Instant Live program.
Q: Are they tradeable?
A: As much as any studio album is. Certainly the ABB is not encouraging it.
Q: Will this affect the ABB's taping policy?
A: It remains intact.
Q: Will they be available for sale in stores and over the internet at some
point?
A: At this point it is all so new, but they don't envision them being
available in stores. They intend to make a limited amount of each show
and when they are gone, they are gone. What to do with left over stock, if any, remains to be seen. This is still an experiment.
