I've taken my 10-year old daughter Angelica and 7-year old son Ronnie to see the Derek Trucks Band at the Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park, Susan Tedeschi at the Midtown Music Festival, and recently the Yonrico Scott Band at Cafe 290, all here in Atlanta. They got autographs from Susan, and Yonrico made a special point of thanking them for listening to their music. Maybe this is the year to take them to a Brothers show ... Of course, they've been to see Donna Hopkins more than a dozen times -- they're good friends with Donna's 7-year old daughter India. India sings with her mom on "Everything Money Can't Buy," one of the tracks on Donna's CD -- and that was the cut chosen to be included on the Atlanta Magazine Music Compilation CD. India even gets special mention in the magazine write-up! India sang the song with her mom at the Dogwood Festival in front on 10,000 people and in her intro Donna dedicated the song to all the kids in the audience -- and she mentioned Ronnie and Angelica by name! My kids still talk about that ...
