Great weekend at the Gathering of the Vibes. One comment I definitely have to make is that while I can never get enough of Warren and Derrick, Dickey's set was the best of all. I think dickey has gone back to the roots that made people love the Allman Brothers to begin with, while the rest of the band has gone on to form more of a blues/neo-hippie jam band. And while derek and warren's guitars cut right through the middle of my soul, its really a completely different band than the one that I grew up loving. Sorry to bring this up again, but if the split was supposed to have happened citing "Creative Differences" maybe they need to think twice. It was those creative differences that made the Allman Brothers Band great. The only question is how long it will take them to realize it......
