Afternoon all. Just wanted to mention that two weeks ago I had one of the best days of my life - a day full of sunshine - yes they do exist - free parking - Central Park, NYC - Robert Randolph and Govt Mule - front and center I was - highlight for me - seeing Chuck's face light up when Robert called Warren onstage and they went into Purple Haze - to die for I tell you - Warren then closed with Robert and Soulshine - just one of my happiest days. Robert's new CD - Unclassified - will hit the stores on August 5. One single - Nobody - is outstanding - a real crowd pleaser. I had not seen Robert and his band in over 18 months and he was just as good - if not better - than I remembered. Just totally happy he is - like a kid on Christmas and the crowd just eats them up. It was good to see Marcus with a new drum set as the old one was held together by tape. I am so happy for their success - they deserve every minute of it. Press on!
Anyway, this weekend is Walter Trout Sunday night at the Brew Pub in Suffern, N.Y. He is also at the Bottom Line, NYC - I believe on June 25. He is only around this way once a year so if you're a fan, get your butt there.
And for a little culture - Swan Lake Saturday night at the Metropolitan Opera House - I'll be smiling all weekend. Take care and I hope you can stay dry - they say the sun will come out maybe Sunday afternoon - I'll believe it when I see it!
