Hey there sweet family, Father's Day got me thinking of some of the experiences Shey has had that are a little out of the ordinary. For instance in the Spring of 1996 I took her out of school for a week to go on the road with the "Peaches and Dreams" bus trip the Allman Brothers Band let Brother Ron Currens and I put together (Thanks, guys! 🙂 ). Our trip was scheduled to end in Louisville, KY, but the ABB were continuing on to Chicago. "Uncle" Woody kept telling Shey how much she'd like Chicago, that the theatre was great, and she really should talk me into staying on the tour. I overheard some of their scheming and tried to be the voice of reason, "We can't stay. She's been out of school for a week and needs to get back ..." That didn't deter Woody - he grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, scribbled a note, and handed it to Shey with a smile. It read, "Like, dig this, teach', consider it a field trip." Ai yai yai! We went home, but I was definitely seen as the meany that day  Take care and know that you are loved, Lana
