Since 1997 when W&W left the band, I have always considered the Allman Brothers a year to year concern. I'm not sure the band has considered it much more than that either.
Considering the fact that the reunion in 1989 seemed unlikely to start with, it would hard for me to feel like they didn't give me more than I ever expected over the past 19 years (4 quality studio albums, 4 quality live albums including the IRSA CD, some of my fav original ABB tracks ever, a couple great live videos, tons of other instant live CDs, Wanee Fests, Beacon Runs etc, etc)
It seems that the new album Derek references is the upcoming dTb album, not anything by the Brothers, though.
