Abi says to me tonight, "Mom, in music today, Mrs. Langer said we are going to have a parade to march in at school for flag day and we are going to sing too!" I ask what she is going to sing. She says "Mrs. Langer said we are going to sing This Land Is Your Land, by Arlo Guthrie, so I raised my hand and told her that Arlos Dad made that song, but Arlo sings it." I told her she is a very smart girl! 🙂 Last night she asked to go to the Spring Concert at school with the teacher that lives upstairs from us and her kids, so I let her. She comes home and I ask her how it was and she says, "I don't like that kind of concert. They just played some instruments and sang that Buttercup song and some other songs." I had to explain to her that not all concerts are going to be like the ones that her and I go to together. 😉
