Hey all y'all baseball fans out there! The rains held off and we were able to play ball here. Unfortunately the mighty Mooresville Moors were done in by those tenacious Dodgers. However that good looking #13 for the Moors was 3 for 3 with 2 homers. One a grand slam! All in front of his mom and grandparents. Of course the assistant coach was very proud too! Libby first of all you know I love you, but I've got to call you on the Derek and Eric (Gales) version of Layla. This cut is originally off the HOB Ain't No Tribute Series. It appeared on the Eric Clapton one and was the weakest song of the bunch IMHO. The song is half way OK, but the coda is down right horrible! Again IMHO. I think this is the worst thing I've ever heard Derek do. The rest of the CD is pretty good with a stand out Gonna Miss You by Larry McCray and Roll It Over by Joe Lewis Walker. Of all these HOB's tributes I've heard The Rolling Stones one called Paint It Blue is the best with young Derek tearing it up on Tumbling Dice with Johnny Copeland singing and the Yahoos backing. Hey Brofan remember the Yahoos? Dude PM me and let me know you are alive! Talking about AIQ. I remember last years B-ham show meeting GPM and AIQ and Goliath and Great Scott and Buppalo and SPDB (Hey dude PM me too) and Billy Eddins and alot of others. Damn I wished I'd had a chance to spend at least an hour with each one of y'all. Those are some good memories I hope to meet some more peeps on the road this year. Peace and may God bless you.
