FYI...Big news for fans of Derek & the Dominos...Bobby Whitlock will be on Q104.3FM in New York City this Wednesday, May 14th. He will be performing live on DJ Ken Dashow's "Live at Five" program. Bobby just relocated to New Jersey in the Fall of 2002 and is in the process of recording a new album. I spent the day with him Saturday and heard some of the new tracks. Incredible stuff! I know he will be bringing at least one track called "Guilty". For those of you who might be interested, it would be great if you could call the station to request the cut or give your feedback if they play it on the air. Bobby will also be playing live acoustic with his girlfriend, Kim Carmel. She's a major talent in her own right and just wait to hear what they sound like together. Delaney and Bonnie have nothing on these two! I know Bobby and Kim will appreciate whatever support or interest you show. Also, check out www.bobbywhitlock.com for news, live gigs, photos, CDs for sale, and much more. Sign their guest book and let them know the listening public cares!!! PS- You all should see the picture of him and Duane hanging in the middle of Bobby's living room. Its from the Layla sessions and they both look so young. Its beautiful and sad at the same time.
I'm also a HUGE ABB fan and will be checking in regularly. Just wanted to get the word out about Bobby before Weds. For those, that don't know Whitlock or don't necessarily care, thanks for allowing me the guestbook space anyway!
