I don't recall whether the question about the release-date of the new Mule live CD/DVD ever got answered, but I did find the information below at guitar world's web-site. Now, if we could just find out what ever happened (or is going to happen) with The Benefit Concert, Volume 2 -- featuring the ABB, ARU, and Mule w/ Schools. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.guitarworld.com/0100/framesets/news.html Gov't Mule special show to be filmed for DVD release For nearly 2 years, Gov't Mule has toured in support of, "The Deep End: Volumes I & II." The albums are a tribute to the late Gov't Mule bassist Allen Woody. For these recordings, the Mule's Warren Haynes and Matt Abts were joined by an all-star bass player roster: Jack Bruce, Oteil Burbridge, Jack Casady, Les Claypool, Bootsy Collins, Billy Cox, Flea, Roger Glover, Mike Gordon, Larry Graham, Andy Hess, Alphonso Johnson, Phil Lesh, Tony Levin, Jason Newsted, George Porter Jr., Greg Rzab, Dave Schools, Chris Squire, Mike Watt, Chris Wood and the late John Entwistle. The Deepest End is the culmination of the touring and promotion behind "The Deep End" project and will take place, Saturday, May 3rd, during Jazzfest, at the gorgeous Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, LA. This historic performance, which will be recorded for a live album and DVD mid to late August release, will feature many of the bassists who performed on "The Deep End: Volumes I & II" and/or joined Gov't Mule on stage during the last 2 years, as well as other friends and very special guests, all of whom will remain a surprise until they take the stage. "In the studio, everyday there was a different bass player," says Haynes. "Being able to perform live with these guys in one sitting seems to be the perfect punctuation for this whole series. The camaraderie and uniqueness of having everyone together and capturing it live is much more about the moment than being in the studio. When these people get together the energy level can't help but go up. I'm very excited about it."
