It's time for a little summer ABB talk as I sit at work listening to The Deep End volume 2.Smack at the beginning of the Beacon run my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is post surgery and pre chemo but doing great.I want to thank Patti at the Loge bar for advice and support for both of us as we didn't quite understand what kind of battle we had ahead. I went to 7 of the shows a record for me. My wife came to 1, my 12 year old another and assorted first timers, friends and acquaintences the others. The new album and the excitement the shows generated for me helped me get through an emotional roller coaster. Through the scary hell of breast cancer my wife and I have a pretty interesting schedule lined up for the summer if her chemo schedule will allow us to follow through with my plans: 6-26 Neil Young(her favorite) at the Garden, 6-28 the brothers in A.C.,7-12 The Brothers at the Gathering of the Vibes and Bruce 7-17. 2 out of three boys are away at sleepaway camp giving us alittle time to feel like kids again. Her prognosis is great and we are both dealing with this little hurdle that life brought us in a real positive way.
