Afternoon all. I want one of those Haynes t-shirts - where can I get one? A supersized thank you to the Hospitality Sweeties who made the weekend so special and fun. Their hard work in making sure everyone has a good time/gifts/cd's is immensely appreciated. I was lucky to catch three shows - including the Tuesday taping. Not sure which was my favorite - Saturday was outstanding. But on Tuesday I sat for the first time in the last row of Orchestra - Y. It is raised higher than the other rows and for about 85% of the time, I had no problem seeing the entire stage. I also had half a row all to myself to dance in. I highly recommend this row to anyone who may be buying tickets at the last moment - well worth it. I thought on Tuesday the band was forcing it a little too. Even though I did not hear Outskirts of Town, most of my favorites were heard. I also highly recommend the restaurant Carmines for friends to share a meal - doubly delicious! I was trying to compare Warren and Derek at the shows. I feel that Warren is playing the style of music that he loves (blues/rock) and therefore excels with all his heart and soul. Derek, on the other hand, I think, is not a big blues lover. More jazz, fusion, I don't know how to categorize it. But I keep wondering if blues was his first love, how scary his talent - his sound would be. He barely touches the strings. Just my two cents. I think the Beacon should be a bi-annual event, but then how could I afford it - LOL
