Man, I had this big, long-winded post I was writing, but I scrapped it so I'll make it simple: I had fun. Thank you to all of you wonderful Brothers and Sisters for a great weekend. A pleasure to see so many of you again, and to meet so many for the first time. I feel, once again, that it was one big whirl and that I didn't get to spend as much time with alot of you as I would have liked, but I would not trade it for anything. Thanks to all who came to the Jello Shot party and to those who helped out by sending/bringing CDs, buying ice, giving gifts, baking cookies, bringing baked goods and especially for buying nametags and contributing to Rock and Wrap it Up! This year, we raised over $200 for this fine organization thanks to some very generous contributions by certain people who I won't name so as not to embarrass them...but thanks to all who helped. This year, the nametags (Thanks again, Sherry) were dedicated to a guestbook brother that we lost last year, Tommy C. The bottom of the tag read "Hi to all my friends"...that was how Tommy started out all of his posts. It brought a tear to more than one eye. Thanks also to those who helped us pack, unpack, load up, clean up, bartend, and doctor my sprained foot (answering the door at the Beacon Hotel can be dangerous!)...and especially to Hoochiecoochiegirl (Stacy's) husband, Bill, for driving 4 wacked-out women to AND FROM NYC, and packing to the gills a Chevy Suburban...keep a weekend in March open again next year, Bill  We LOVE you!! Thank you to The Allman Brothers Band for an incredible show on Friday night. The reviews here have been right on the spot...especially Eddie P's review. Thank you to the Left Coast guys for a great pre-show party on Saturday...what a spread! Scotty, you are just TOO much...I love you, bro! Thank you to all the Beacon virgins who made the trip this year...Easy Michael (my seatmate on Fri.), PhillyBob, Buppalo, Bluefox, GPM, Dino (Shirley), Brent and many more...the joy on your faces all weekend long was contagious. Thank you to Lamdog for the jam session and for converting that CD for me and thanks to your wacky pal Buka for being our security guard on Sat. night...he's now a Hospitality Sweetie! AllmanBroVette (Bruce)...thanks for making me laugh on Sat. at 3 in the morning! We missed you on Sunday and thanks Joel (TuffJew) for the ride to BB King's on Friday night. Thanks to all who shared dinner with us at Carmine's on Sunday...Leah Marie and Chuck, Karen and Lynn, my friend from high school, Miguel and especially to DelDavis. Del has come out for a Beacon week every year for the last 3 years from Oslo, Norway...now that's an ABB fan. We all really enjoy your company Del, and it was hard to say goodbye to you last night...I hope your trip home was a good one. Thank you (sort of) to the Beacon Hotel for putting up with us...even tho they messed up our reservation and put US on another floor from everyone else...we appreciate the late check out and storage of our luggage/boxes/table/junk. And...last but not least...thank you to Lana (I love the gift!) and Rowland...without them, and of course the Allman Brothers Band, this would not be possible. See you next year...Beacon '04. Oh yeah...I'll be back with JodyGirl for tomorrow's show! Ok, so it was long-winded...but you should've seen the original post :twirl:
