I've been thinking a lot lately about what the ABB can do to get some more commercial success, sell more records, sell out concerts. I think it's great the new record is coming out, however as great as songs like Desdemona and the others are, they are too long for commercial radio play. So I thought, why don't they put out a record of blues covers to coincide with the original release. I think new blues covers are overdue, certainly have been discussed here plenty of times. Pick some great songs and package it as "ABB Plays the Blues" (or something along those lines). I'm certain those songs will get airplay and commercial recognition. For us, it's win - win, because now there's even more new music in the mix in concert. What do you think??? What covers would you want to hear??? Loan Me a Dime w/Jimmy would be nice.
