Peachnutt, RE: The Guitar Strap I wasn't under the impression that it was Duane's daughter that sold it. I was thinking about this though. I would imagine that these possessions mean a lot more to us, the fans (fanatics), then the band or family members. Didn't Gregg give or trade away Duane's guitar as some point?! I can not think of an item that would have more emotional value or that could be more symbolic of him than that. If it was a roadie who sold it maybe he approached the band or family members to see if they wanted it because he planned to sell it. They could have told him "listen if you need the money then sell it." As far as him having a right to have it, is he not a Brother and a part of the family? Duane surely believed he was. Judging by the stories and actions of band members they don't seem to dwell on the past or idealize the past as much as "we" do. Hell they lived it and have moved on, they have the memories (good and bad) and don't need the artifacts. Maybe I am being insensitive but what would the guitar strap mean to his daughter? I am asking honestly, I don't know, I can't relate, I did not lose a parent who I never got to know. Maybe all it would mean is $15,000 if she needed the money. Who knows, we certainly don't. So who are we to say who the rightful owner is? Take care, Ryan
