Okay. I am here in body but my spirit is soaring thanks to the DTB. Finally, the LA area got the show that it deserved. Much more of a @+ hour show than the ususal house of blues hour set. As many of the extended family know I have a real talent for not remembering names but scored a set list night... Rasta Man ---------- e: Gonna Move I do not have time right now to do it justice but I finally understand why they picked Mike Mattison. Yonrico had the ugly faces out. Todd with that beautiful smile. Kofi with the wide eyes listening and Derek with his closed eyes and meaningful strokes. WOW!!! Great show!! only 1 taper who hangs on the marcford.net Marc Ford showed up but did not play. The Scott family was in the house and Yonrico's sister sang Stormy Monday. Leavin Trunk was not as dirty as Taj Mahal's. Many MANY times my arm hair were standing up. Brent and I were center and just to Derek's side. I shot two rolls of film and learned some cool things. Brent might be able to correct my memory, but He got a different set list picture. As we know Yionrico color paints some beautiful pictures. Turns out DTB has a new “EP” and Rico painted the band sitting with their back to us on what looked like a wall (memory fade). Todd basically said that they were not allowed to use it because Todd's @ss looked too good. Man more music more music MORE MUSIC!!!!! If you can't tell I am already at FRIDAY's show in my mind. Tonight DTB is playing in SF and Phil Lesh, as mentioned on the GB, is playing with. The band has been rehearsing dreams to play with Phil. Additionally, Brent & I caught sound check and gave a call to a JEANNE who is raring to go to the Beacon.MARCH MADNESS IS COMING. Derek played the SG all night. I got a shot of Todd and Derek witht he Mushroom Express. Derek's comment was this thing is light. Like I said I'm already at Friday's show and will do this more justice later.
