I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks ago when watching HBO's airing of the movie "Black Rain", featuring Michael Douglas. The song which began and ended the movie, called "I'll be holding on," sounded like it was sung by one of our favorite musical voices. Sure enough, watching the credits, revealed the song, written by someone else, was in fact sung by none other than Gregg Allman.
I'm not really an avid movie go-er so it was the 1st time I'd seen it. The movie was from 1989, just prior to the bands reformation. Maybe this has been discussed here before, but it's all new to me.
Does anyone know anymore about this? Does the song show up anywhere else besides the movie soundtrack?
