I sure agree about Donna Maria. It was always a highlight for me at the
BB King’s Club shows because it was new, but it was classic Dickey Betts in every sense.
Let me share a memory....it was after the second show there, and some of the band members had come out to talk to the fans. I was talking to Mark May, and I asked him if Lana was backstage. I had been in touch with her on the computer, but never met her in person.
I asked Mark if he would ask you to come out and say hello. He’s such a nice guy, he said
“Sure”.
And a few minutes later, I was introduced to Lana, who made me feel like we had been friends for years. So glad we still are.
