I think I joined the old site around 97 or 98... can't remember exactly. Man, I miss those folks. Is the old e-mail listserv still around? I don't know how trading is done now, but it was so much fun then. Now most anything is available on YouTube-- absolutely amazing. I remember checking my old hotmail email and finding I had a dozen folks take me up on my offer to send out a show to anyone who wanted it. It was a lot of work making all those tapes (and some CD's), but it was fun. I didn't do much trading-- mainly just to get the shows I went to. How wonderful it was to get an envelope in the mail with a surprise show in return from the folks I sent those shows to when I had no idea anything was coming. I hope folks still spread the music and kindness like that. My cassette deck has long since perished, but I still have those tapes/CD's. Walnut Creek 96,97,98,99,00... used to put them in the stereo and play along with them trying to learn as much as I could. Here's hoping that DVD of the 10/28/14 show I keep reading about in the forums turns out like we all want it to. I'd sure love to get that one and try to find a copy of Dickey's last show with the ABB.
