flippin best wishes right back at Ya Tony /everyone 🙂
Chris, u really fit in with this crowd imho, great choice of t-day tunes
Best wishes for a blessed holiday season all
1 last load of odds & ends to run thru dishwasher, then later today, the grill 🙁
Hate cleaning the grill, am too fanatical about it, but worth it for the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp appetizer with fresh squeezed lemon & lime , was yummy..
Sure miss the outrageous outdoor bbq we had at the old house in CT...
The Italian Family that built all the houses on our little mountain top, hand built the bbq for their large Family parties amongst the fruit trees they brought (seeds) with them from Italy...
the aged cherry and apple wood alone was worth the price of admission 🙂
Throw everything on at once, the grates were leveled to put steaks, potatoes, corn all that great ice cold Atlantic seafood on at the same time, and everything would cook to perfection, all the skill was built in to the dif levels of the grates..
Plus, nothing to clean! throw extra charcoal and wood on to keep the crowd warm as the sunset behind the Berkshires, and the fire licked the grates clean.
Just cant seem to find that old world craftsmanship here in FLA, but am bent on getting 'er done if I have to hand build it myself..
My Mom , always the life of the party, announced this would be her last Thanksgiving 🙁 I think it's a BKLYN thing 🙁
She did have a good time, good ol Betty (only my Dad called her Liz/ Lizzie) King, God love her..
FLA was blessed with the best Thanksgiving weather I can remember in 35 years, got down to 40 last night 🙂 with strong Southerly breezes, perfect for roasting and baking to our hearts content..
ha! I remember 1 Thanksgiving in BKLYN, it was so damned cold! 20's and blizzard blowing, Mom & Dad were getting it on big time, no over the hills and dales to Grandmama's house singing a song that day, and all of a sudden, Dad's volkswagon flipped around, did a 360 plus another 180 4 good measure and we were headed back down the one way street against the oncoming traffic..Good God the cars stopped within a inch of all our lives, funny now, not so funny that T-day..
We all bowed our heads and said and will continue to say Grace and pray for the Veterans , especially Forrest Sibley, who afford the rest of us the luxury of sleeping in Peace, prayers for all our friends and loved ones past..
eapfp /God bless one and all..Ca
