Good old Friday afternoon bells are ringing everywhere. The only good thing about getting screwed @ work is that you don't feel quilty about not working seven days a week anymore.
EddieP 9-23-00 is still my favorite live tape of all. I've got a couple of 1970-71 tapes but I can't get past LATF as being so perfect everything else is a dissapointment. I can't listen to Ludlow Garage, although I do like American University. I listen to 9-23-00 at least once a week.
I pulled out a long forgotten CD last night and had a blast. You've got to appreciate a warped sense of humor (I do) but if your are any kind of a Frank Zappa fan get a copy of "Mothers Live at the Fillmore" from 1971. I was lucky enough to see them in the early days and they were truly unique. Now as Mr Zappa says to enjoy this you "have to have a taste for the bizzare". It is really quite amazing. They were totally nuts, but they were also a great band, and you will have a greater appreiciation for mud sharks, groupies and the Vanilla Fudge after listening. Have a great weekend.
