Welcome back Rich...Hope your mom didn't find your _________ ! (fill in blank) I'm sure by the Beacon run you'll be just fine! Thinking about what ABB discs never seem to leave my rotation because they are that good. Heres a few that no matter how many shows I get I always seem go back to. I tried to pick one or 2 from each era of the band. I reserve the right to change this list at any time. Your mileage may vary. 9/16/71....... Obvious reasons. 12/31/70..... Huge show, powerful and tight, my favorite early Liz Reed. 6/27/71...... Bill Grahams intro says it all: "We're gonna round it off with the best of them all - The Allman Brothers" Great sound for an early show. 5/22/94......Awesome show from the Warfield run that year. Warren and Woody are killer. Dickey was so much more agressive in those days. 3/20/98.......Two Liz Reeds and Jack Pearson! 'Nuff said. Maybe the best Brothers show I've been to. Oh, Did I mention Jack Pearson? 9/23/00.....JImmy Herring and Derek take us to the stratosphere and back. Best Les Brers ever...really. 8/5/01.....Chuck sits in and is brilliant on Desdemona and Jessica. Dave Schools sits in on Rockin Horse. Great show start to finish! 8/24/02...What is it about Raleigh that brings out the greatness in this band? 2002's best show IMO. absolutely no let downs. Derek's Dark Star tease on Ain't Wastin Time No More gets me every time. Feel free to play along, I'd be interested in hearing other folks favs as well. Have a nice weekend. Eddie
