Keep in mind, the band, nor the band management, control ticket prices, venue decisions, or a promoter's wallet.
This is a situation where some of you have limited knowledge of the business. It's been stated many times in different ways. First, tickets and ticket prices are a function of supply and demand. The band takes a set price to play and the promoters, who front the money and take all the financial risk, set the ticket prices.
Second, again, this has been mentioned, why begrude the band its financial due. I don't like paying high ticket prices either, but in my estimation the ABB are one of the best
touring bands out on the road today. The value is there for me, even if it is for just one show.
I completely understand the frustration with ticket prices just remember, it is not a band decison.
And... if we want to see the Bros. play in the future they cannot, at their ages, go out on the road like they use to. They have a compressed schudule and have to make the most of in order to make it financially viable for them to perform. Now we have the Beacon, Wanee, and PeachFest which we should feel fortunate. FYI For the money, festivals are the way to go. PeachFest was really inexpensive, compared to almost any other festival, big or small.
