Nic-y..I didnt realize you were still undergoing chemo..Keeping you and NcFamily in our prayers..How's that darling Grandgirl and Scott doing? Such a fine young man, no one deserves the heartache he has been dealt.
You get better, Ya hear?
We r working on renovating the old McHomestead....The children's bath is complete enough to use :reddancer: and we have plenty of room and privacy..U know our doors r always open to you and Pam..
Shoot, after hurricane season, you can take Soulshine down the ol Misses-sip to our back door 🙂
Deb, check in please! reports r in , rain and floods were bad on FLA's SE Coast.
the only real suffering here was increased humidity, as if it's not humid enough.
Prayers for everyone in Issac's path..may Issac be more an inconvenience than anything else, better yet, an excuse to party.
Lefty, what a GREAT review..thanks you so much for sharing, in my minds eyes and ears, I was so there..
I can honestly say we have never experienced anything but stellar BB shows..tho 3 or 4 stand out to top all others..
Heather's last birthday in Memphis, at BB's club on Beale Street, when BB turned to us at the stage-side table we were blessed to be seated at...wanting to "talk about love" and so much more..... then "Happy Birthday Heather Darling"..Heddy was in her glory.
I love BB King, his hard work ethic, his will to overcome all obstacles from an earyl age on..his big heart, his brilliant talent..What a man!
the night , years later, at Bethune University in Daytona Beach, when Floyd opened for BB..oh, what a night..
Floyd rocked that house so hard, even ol BB had a time catching up..
one New Year's in Tampa..omg..BB was knocking down the Bud's like nobody's business, played like big business.
The Man was on fire that New Year's, perhaps the best we'd seen him play, he was unreal that night.. It wasnt that many New Year's ago.
Ill never forget a story BB told at a show he played at BB Mann in Ft Myers, FLA...BB is as wonderful a story-teller as he is songwriter...
He talked about being a young man, going to town at the fair.
He said he was at the age when a boy turns to man, starts feeling bulletproof.
When he came across a "white's only" (how dispicable, i cant truly fathom) drinking fountain, he didnt take but minute to look around, overcome by curiosity, surely this fountain must be bubbling over with cherry wine..
and then he took his first sip....water.
Water! He couldnt believe it, what the hell was so special about water that they needed a "white's only " sign 🙁
Recordings of BB's storytelling, his verbal autobiography, should be played at taught to every school child in America.imho.
