A blessed Thanksgiving to all my dear friends and family. I am so grateful for the support and love I have received here over the years.
This morning, I called my sweet brother in Florida and then my not-too-sweet sister in Saddle River, New Jersey who answered the phone "I HATE when you do this every holiday". What? I called to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. "Well, I hate it; you call to try to make me feel guilty I don't invite you. No one can come pick you up; you don't have a car. Maybe next year".
Of course, let's remember that Saddle River, New Jersey is about a half hour's drive away with no traffic; an hour with.
Moral of the story is - you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives. I have just "unpicked" this one.
