Hi Folks! It's nice to stop by and say "Hello". I was reading some of the posts and was struck by two of them that I thought I might be able to add to the confusion! Regarding "Jelly Jelly", In the Duane Allman era the band did a song called "Move to the Outskirts of Town", which I know Ray Charles did long before they did, however I believe it also pre-dated Mr. Charles. The song had a very interesting and somewhat unusual chord progression. When the band did "Jelly Jelly" on Brothers and Sisters, it had the exact same progression as "Outskirts of Town". I'm certain that none of the band wrote Jelly Jelly, however I don't know if the song originally carried the same chord progression as "Outskirts of Town" or if they used "Artist Inturpitation" in their arrangement, utilizing the progression from "Outskirts". On Seabreeze H.S., my good friend Lee Gresham went to Seabreeze and was a classmate of Gregg's. His yearbook shows Gregg....... matter of fact, if anyone wants to extort Gregg, this is the picture to do so! 😀 Maybe one of these days I'll get a scanner and post it on the Media Gallery! y'all take care!
