THe last few days have been so heartbreaking and rightly so. But I know that Red Dog didnt want the sadness to linger....he would want us to remember him with much Joy.
So I'm choosing to honor him today by sharing this funny story...
After Red Dog came home from the hospital Noah (my 13 year old) and I went to Grey for a quick visit... When we walked in I asked Red Dog "so how are we doing today?", he replied " Sweet heart I just feel like S***! S***, S***, S***!" Then remembering Noah was standing there grinning at him, he looked at Noah and said " now dont you go repeating that word, your Momma will spank my a$$"! Then Red Dog grinned a few seconds and said "actually repeat it a few times would ya?" Of course I was speechless and turned 3 shades of RED, all to Noah and Red Dog's delight! My son left there that day totally in love with that man......but then again who wasnt?
RD I know that if you can see this you are in Heaven remembering and laughing.....
I hope others will maybe share some stories, I think it would do us all some good to share some, he would want us to.
