I made a "mini-pilgrimage" today after I got off work. Drove by the intersection of Hillcrest and Bartlett where the terrible accident happened (& I remembered that it was also a Friday in 1971).
Swung by the Big House...just drove through the driveway...looking and thinking.
Then went to Rose Hill and paid tribute to the greatest guitar player of all time...our beloved, Duane. Not a cloud in the sky and I was the only one in the cemetery. A very special moment, indeed.
Also wore my Duane t-shirt to work today. I teach nursing, and I also did some teaching about Duane Allman today!
