There have been forms of protection from spears & arrows,to guns & so forth.To each his own the ol sayin goes though.However if a person doesn't have the grit,toughness etc ,to ward off a presense of danger & harm.Well they'd better have some kind of an equalizer to handle the threat is all i can say.If not a gun,then a Tazer.Theres a lotta whacko's out there that would look at ya with a deranged glare when ya tried to talk peach cobbler & salvation with em.And the thought of blowin daylight thru someones chest doean't exactly set well with me ethier.I can say however is some crazed serial killer or child molester were to be on the verge of harming a member of my family,myself or an innocent by stander.I would not hesitate one split second to send em packin their bags to meet their maker.And that most likely would be way down under where the fires always burning.But like i said ,to each his own.Our compound is equipped with over 500 ft of privacy fence,3 dogs,a locked cattle gate entering the property,& its nice and dark at night.I know the property well & can walk it like one of my dogs thats blind.On the other hand if a stranger does manage to get on the property at night(which is 99.9% impossible)without being detected by the dogs.I guarantee ya that sucker is gonna run smack dab into a tree,trip on a concrete planter,run into the fence etc.I never unerstood why folks in the country wanna have their property lit up at night like Main St.All their doin is giving the creeper extra leverage.That way he can see whats around him,what to watch out for,& to plan his get away.When its nice and dark on your home ground,then your the one that has the upper hand. GOD watches out for us no doubt.He also gives us the sense(if we choose to use it) to reason & avoid harm.
