Thoughts and prayers going out to Jaimoe and his family. Saw the Herbie, Derek and Susan concert last night. The music was good but I was disappointed because the show was billed as Herbie with Derek, Susan and Wayne Shorter and we only had one song that Derek and Susan played on. The show was billed as Herbie's 70th birthday and there was some amazing music. I am very happy to have seen a rare musical event. But I think people here know how I lean.... Yan from NY made it out and I threw a little LeftCoastCrew picnic beforehand... Got to see Oteil who was gracious but clearly wanted to listen to the music. I should mention that there was a song with a sitar player and I was just wondering what was going through Derek's mind. spygirl was at the show and snuck in a camera.... she only took a few pics and I am not sure what we will get because we had side seats.... Ready for Derek part deux.... very much looking forward to hearing Oteil in HOB again! peace, love and vibes to Jaimoe's family---scotty
