Agree whole heartedly Tim. Thanks for saving me the time of typing all that out, you about nailed what I was going to describe. I had a hard time not using the word "crap" in my previous post when describing Dickey's tone with the Fender in the late '90's. At no other time would that word even enter my mind to describe Dickey's tone throughout the years. I swear this isn't just a Gibson vs. Fender bias, there is certainly, to me, a pronounced difference in his sound. He had rectified his tone issues for me though in 2000 when he went back to the Gibson's (he was playing two "new" reissuse Les Paul's in Spring of '00). Hey "...listen to the tapes!" I am totally kidding, before anyone jumps of the deep end. Ryan
