I agree with the assement of Clapton's tone at the Beacon as well... the second night was better than the first for sure. I watched every show via Moogis last year & the guitars did sound like a jumbled mess. I have said this before... in their own bands Warren & Derek have distinct voices on guitar but somehow they lose it within the confines of the brothers.
Warren Haynes might be the best combination of talent I have ever seen. Derek Trucks is rewriting the book on how great a single guitar player can be... I think all he needs is that one great song to permantly place him at the top. However, the last time I saw them (ABB) live was in New Orleans and left 3 songs in to go watch other groups because the sound & vibe was not there for me... others will disagree & that's cool. If your ears are happy with what they are hearing great.
