Contrary to what Brent said, the Skydogs didn't play, whereas Brent had emergency eye surgery in Birmingham for a detached retina and fluid leakage. In his place and the rest of the band, was Capt Bligh and the Pirates, and it was hillarious watching him play with that eye patch all night.
On a serious note, it just goes to show you how dedicated he is and how much he enjoys this music. He came straight from post-op recovery to the gig and played a grueling 3-setter in a hot humid club.
Capt. Bligh is also lucky to have first-mate Mona manning the con, piloting the launch, and keeping things ship-shape. Wthout her, last night would not have been possible, and been a night at Davey Jones' locker.
