I love dickie bett's music as much as anyone, but some of you forget about the beatings he gave his wife.. He has had run-ins with policemen on numerous occasions, and has been known to have shown no respect for the laws of our land at times-- and on and on. Someone in the band could have been killed during his episodes. From what I understand , he has been, and is still in denial. I realize that other band members have had skeletons in their own closets concerning drugs and alcohol. Because of this , it's like throwing stones from a glass house. I really think they were afraid of physical violence that might have led to an injury or even death. But being truthful, I think under the circumstances Butch and the other members have earned the right to play music with whoever they want. Music is how they make their living. I wouldn't want to go to work thinking I might get killed by a fellow worker. Ease up guys. One day Dickie may come to terms with his problems and , the other brothers would welcome him back. It's been a terrible divorce plain and simple. We all should be glad the brothers are still kicking it out. And give our prayers for Dickie. If you have heard him in the last few years, most would agree, that his skills have greatly diminished to the point of sadness. Gregg was as bad or worse at one time, and he got well, and is in a good place in his life. That leaves room for hope, not vindictiveness. My good wishes and prayers are for Dickie and his family.
