Man, where to start? I know.... I LOVE BEING A PART OF THIS FAMILY!! One of the best things that ever happened in my world. Deb, that is one cool, cool story. Very happy for you. Makes me respect and appreciate Clapton all the more too. Really touching to see All My Friends in the setlist. I assume this came directly from Scott and Tommy sitting in last year. Several of you were at the Jam when Scott talked about how he came to write the song. Nice to see a tip of the hat here and there to those who were there at the beginning. But Saturday night...WOW !!! I walked in Blackstone around 11:30...noticed an unusally large crowd, saw that there was a 2nd guitar onstage as I was paying my cover. Walked in to see Ellen from Chicago, then Barry Z., Rusty and Donna, then Erin, Pat, Syd, Sista Bluz, Pete Vancura. It was J.P. onstage. Steve, Tim, and a bunch of Chicago folk. .....and the place was ROCKIN!! I know some of y'all think it's like this all the time around here. But believe me--it only happens when members of this family gather here. It always amuses me to watch the reaction of the locals. They don't really understand, don't quite know what's up. But they know something's up, something they want to be a part of, learn more about. And that's very very cool. Saturday was a really happy night in Gadsden. Happy is good. Hoping it portends well for the future. There's way too much struggling, sadness out there these days. But there's great joy too. And that's what's important.
