Red Dog,
While your observation that Cameras are cheaper these days may be valid, I'm not sure the kind of Camera they use for Moogis is. I have no info on what they cost but to a non-technical eye they sure looked expensive. (g) Being from NY I can remind you the larger cost of running a production like that is not in the cost of Cameras but in New York City Labor costs. If the Production Staff is Union they are paying some big bucks (NYC/Manhattan Rates) just for labor. If they are not I'm sure it's cheaper, yes, but still more expensive than most areas of the country. If it was non-union that may explain the Moogis problems I've seen posted here. (Just Kidding)
I had a great night at the show, thought the band was on top of their game. The crowd noice under the Balcony/Loge was a little more evident than I would have liked. There are so many seats under there that crowd noise has nowhere to go.
Be safe.
